All students start out taking private lessons and will float over into the regular classes as skill and knowledge increase. I have a closed class to keep the quality of training high. However, as you show yourself worthy you will be integrated into a tight nit highly trained group of individuals. No egos~ No politics~ No contracts
I have over 30 years of training and 20 years experience in the real world of nightclub security at many different venues. I teach in a progressive modern fashion. I am a Guro but I’m not into Lording over people. I look at the martial arts as both a physical and spiritual journey. I teach that to understand the old is to better understand the new and that the circumstance dictates the means. I’m Not into weirdness…i don’t believe in the no punch knockouts. i believe that the way you train is the way you will fight. First you must learn the basics and have a firm grasp on them in order to fully reach your potential. That takes time, patience, and practice so I’m not a black-belt factory or as i like to call them Mcdojos… i appreciate all of the arts, they all have a time and place. All techniques have worked for somebody at some point in time. That doesn’t mean it will work for you.. I call my method of instruction the “Fingerprint method” we are all different and unique and will apply applications accordingly. In other words i don’t want a bunch of martial clones or robots. The principles of “The Way” are immutable whatever path we start out on we will all see the same view from the summit, some paths are more direct and some take a longer route but in the end we all see the same view if we are persistent in the endeavor. 7x’s down 8 up.
what makes the biggest impact on the journey is the teachers you have along the way…many are wolves, many are not truly skilled, many want to control rather than lead, choose your instructor wisely and be grateful to them. they make the journey more pleasurable.
